Today I have been working with Easter activities.  I made an Easter basket.  First I had to "boil" the egg. Then mix water and vinegar together in a bowl and add some food colouring in.  After that I decorated the eggs.  Then I picked out a basket and added the eggs and then wrote a message.  This is my basket below.

Making Sherbet

How to make sherbet. In this writing I am going to write about how to make sherbet Firstly, to make sherbet we need the following ingredients.

• Icing sugar
• Raro
• Baking soda
• Citric acid
• Tartaric acid

To begin with we first mixed Icing sugar and Raro then we mixed it together and then we tasted it it tasted  yum as. Then the next indergiends are Baking soda and citric acid also Tartaric acid and we mixe that together and it was YUCK!. But then we had to mix them all together then we tasted it and we made sherbet.

My Self

Hi I am a  girl, I am 10 years old.  My name is Alyssa. I live in the boring suburb of Glen Innes , in Auckland, New Zealand.  I go to a school in our area called Glen Innes school I am proud of my green and black uniform and wear it daily to school.

I have brown eyes, and brown,golden hair.  Sometimes I colour my hair .     

The things I like doing at school are Maths, a little bit of sport and going swimming everyday is soooo cool. I also love writing and updating my blog every week.. It is cool to see so many people from all over the world reading my writing.

Like all the students in my class, I like food.  I enjoy eating hot chips , pies , sandwiches and cookies, but my favourite is hot chips.

I have many friends at school too.  In school we all play and we talk and walk around the school and the grass. I love talking with my best friends, Petuana,Mele and Rebecca. Sometime we talk after school for a while until the bell rings.

Glen Innes is a Beautiful place to be in.

Tuesday 6 August 2013 at Glen Innes School are lucky guesses why?

After morning tea room 9 & other classes in fact the whole school went to the hall & some nurses were there & they were wearingfighth Rheumatic fever on their T-shrits it was so cool. After that a lady named Elizbeth came on the stage and said Kia Ora anyway she stared talking about Rheumatic fever then Miss Elizbeth said “Do you want to see some big kids” the whole school all repied “Yes” so the 3 of the warrios came in and there names are Awen Guttenbell,Sione Lousi,Steve Rapira and Ben Herny. It was so so exited to see them in life also Miss Elizbeth did a troat swab on Sione Louis. When we saw that he didn’t want to do the troat swab but then Awen Guttenbell and Steve Rapira said count to three and maybe he might open his mouth and so he did after that he did and i knew it was a play. After the play they indrocted them to us and then everyone when back to class but that wasn’t all we also got their auotgraph it was surpiseing in was cool then it was over.

Today I shed a tear.

1. I shed a tear because I was sad I was sad because my Papa died.

2. I shed a tear because when I was laughing hard.  

3. I shed a tear because my cousin yelled at me for eating her chocolate.

4. I shed a tear because I was playing tag and I fell over my shoelace.

5. I shed a tear because my mum growled me for not getting the mail.

6. I shed a tear because my little cousin bit my leg for her cookie.

7. I shed a tear because my dad gave me $20 for doing the dishes.

8. I shed a tear because I stole my cousin’s milky way and she gave me a huge growling.

9. I shed a tear because when I saw despicable me 2 at the end because it was funny.

10. I shed a tear because I hit my head on the wall cause I was angry.

11. I shed a tear because I was holding my little cousin and she knocked me on the head.

12. I shed a tear because when I was brushing my hair there was a knot and I pulled my hair.

15. I shed a tear because I was in the pool I scratched my knees.

Netbook Reflection

Big Question:

How has having a netbook, connected to the internet,Helped my learning this year?

I learnt from my teacher how to put a picture on a the blog and how to do a padlet and how to answer math questions that I don't know on studyladder. Also how to make a movie and how to film it right we also had to do zooming in and out put music in it but first we had to do a storyboard.

I learnt of by myself to do a keyboard shortcut. To make a  new tab you go ctrl T and to delete a tab you go ctrl W also if you want to do ctrl,shift,alt and I.

My Friend helped answer a math question on studyladder and my friend also showed me how to to a bar graph.

Manaiakalani Film Festival

My favourite film is NO MORE CHOCOLATE IN THE WORLD.

From our school i enjoyed Room 11’s the title is called NO MORE CHOCOLATE IN THE WORLD. I liked it because it was about chocolate also because they acted great. The people in it Chole,Crystal,Lasa,Matthew,Clair and Clevan

The movie I like from other school was Success because it was funny.

For next year 2014 my ideas would be to make a better movie and make it funny like the one that we did this year but not copy it do a different one and make it go a bit longer.

Today i learnt about friendship,not to throw something over the fence when you are playing basketball with your friends,about caring for your friend’s or not being  bullied by other people also to stand up for yourself.
