Maths Test

Today in maths I needed to learn my Fractions and Percentages. I got 34/40 , the Multiplication , Division , Square Roots & Factors were easy but the rest were hard because I didn't know them that well. I need to learn more of Fractions and Percentages.

Procedure Writing : Jam Biscuits

Walt: write a procedure for making Jam Biscuits

Success Criteria: use a verb to begin every step in the method.

Ingredients:

125g butter (½ cup)

½ cup sugar

1 egg

2 cups flour

1 tsp baking powder  

1 tbsp milk

Jam (any flavor)  

Method

Preheat the oven to 180.C

Put the butter into the microwave for 15 seconds  

Add the butter into the bowl with the sugar

Mix that together

Add 1 egg into the bowl and mix that to

Pour the 2 cups of flour and 1 tsp of baking powder

Add milk , but don’t make it to milkey

Make it into a ball

Dent a hole into the middle

Place it into the tray

Place the Jam into the dent

Place The Jam Biscuits into the preheated oven

WALT:Write problems for equations

Today in maths we were learning about writing word problems and Miss Ramkolowan put three equations on the board and I choose the easy one because I knew the answer and I knew what to write for the word problem. I learnt what a row is and a column.

Jump for Heart

Friday 5th June the whole school had to go to the hall and show the whole school and some parents but it was only a practise though. I was so nervous because I thought that I was going to mess the whole thing up , but i kinda did. My group was on first and I didn’t really know what to do because they changed it but as soon as they told  me what I was meant to do I did it well , but I was really panicking about when I jump into the rope with my rope. But I didn’t mess it up none of us did. Also I really like the other classes music it was really cool and the songs were cool to.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY !

The people above are all celebrating birthdays today!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Firstly is Miss Mary , she is a fun and loving person you may think she is a reception but she is so much more she helps you when you are sick or when you get hurt and she makes the people lunch if they can’t make their own lunch.

Second is Donald Duck , he is 81 years old and he is a good actor because he was in Mickey Mouse Club house , also he is so funny because of his laugh.

Lastly is Koliata , he is in my class and he is 13 now (a teenager) and he is a year 8 and going college next year.

So Mrs Mary , Donald Duck and Koliata HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!! , Hope you have fun today and yeah have a good one.

WALT:  Learning to use conjunctions

Today in reading, my teacher set conjunctions for my group because we had to learn which words belongs in a sentence. While I was playing this game I realized that it has words coming up like : after,while,because,although and all you have to do is click the word and it will go into the box then press done. This game was easy for me because I knew what words would fit into the sentence.
