The Wacky Apples

The Wacky Apples

Walt: Write a personal narrative from a picture.

It was a hot summer day. The skys were blue , birds chirping , lovely green grass. “ Do you want to come with me to the park?” suggested Katie with dark brown eyes and blondish hair. Katie is the type of person that loves to go places with her friends especially with her friend Suzie. Suzie has light blue eyes and brown hair is the type of person that loves reading books however she loves the park too.

As soon as Suzie heard park she got her nose out of her book without even putting her bookmark in her book she jumped up with excitement to say “ Yes let’s go.” Exactly at the same time they got ready and got going. While they were walking to the park Katie spotted an big red apple tree. All of a sudden Suzie stopped and Katie bumped into her. “ Hey what are you doing” Katie demanded rubbing her head “ Look at that big red apple tree , I’m going to go get an apple want to come with me ?” Asked Suzie. When they got to the big red apple tree all the apples looked really disgusting but one just one big red juicy apple was right at the top of the tree.

The two friends just looked at each other and looked back up to the apple trying to figure out how to get the apple. They kept looking around to find objects that will help them get to the top but nothing was around just the two friends , little kids also a ball. Suzie suggested to stand on her shoulders and try and reach the big juicy apple but they were too short. Meanwhile Katie was getting down she saw a man with a ladder so she yelled out to him “ Excuse me can I use your ladder please?” the man answered with a quick “ Yes”.

So up Suzie went while her friend was holding the ladder Suzie grabbed the two big juicy red apples and got down oh and one for the man for being so nice. As soon as those two got the apple they bite into it and was very juicy and mouthwatering.

Stealing Seafood

Walt: Create a Maori myth (narrative)

“Look at that man over there!” shouted a girl with long curly black hair and fiery red eyes.
Seconds later her brother with short curly black hair with the same eyes ran into the room “Where?” answered Kortero
Kortero couldn't see anything but his sister Hurihia kept saying pointing in his direction. After a while he gave up trying to look for him.

One morning Hurihia could feel something was wrong so she got up and ran to the beach but everything seemed fine. She saw the same guy that was there yesterday so, she blitzed over to him saying“ tukua ahau ahau te nehenehe e tauturu ia outou ia? (excuse me can I help you?).” The man didn’t know what she was saying instead he just looked at her straight away knew that he didn’t understand. Afterwards she said it again but in english “ Excuse me can I help you” Rangi now understood so he introduced himself and started talking about how much he loves the beach and the seafood but he just wants it to sell it for money though Hurihia didn’t know he was lying.

A few weeks later she didn’t see Rangi come until one day he came with some men and they had bags they kept going into the water and came out with lots of seafood like Kina,Paua, tuaki and kutai. Hurihia ran as fast as lightning to her brother’s room when she got to his room she catched her breath and bursted out
“ tangata i runga i te tātahi ! tangata i runga i te tātahi ! ( men on the beach ! men on the beach !. )
“He aha ! Hea ? ( What! where?)
She leaded him to the beach then he finally saw the men. Kortero sprinted as fast as a cheater to try and get one of the men while Hurihia calls the police.

As fast as a person can blink the police were there. Rangi and his friends got arrested for taking too much seafood than they can. He told the police he just wanted some money , the policeman didn’t listen to him.
