Stealing Seafood

Walt: Create a Maori myth (narrative)

“Look at that man over there!” shouted a girl with long curly black hair and fiery red eyes.
Seconds later her brother with short curly black hair with the same eyes ran into the room “Where?” answered Kortero
Kortero couldn't see anything but his sister Hurihia kept saying pointing in his direction. After a while he gave up trying to look for him.

One morning Hurihia could feel something was wrong so she got up and ran to the beach but everything seemed fine. She saw the same guy that was there yesterday so, she blitzed over to him saying“ tukua ahau ahau te nehenehe e tauturu ia outou ia? (excuse me can I help you?).” The man didn’t know what she was saying instead he just looked at her straight away knew that he didn’t understand. Afterwards she said it again but in english “ Excuse me can I help you” Rangi now understood so he introduced himself and started talking about how much he loves the beach and the seafood but he just wants it to sell it for money though Hurihia didn’t know he was lying.

A few weeks later she didn’t see Rangi come until one day he came with some men and they had bags they kept going into the water and came out with lots of seafood like Kina,Paua, tuaki and kutai. Hurihia ran as fast as lightning to her brother’s room when she got to his room she catched her breath and bursted out
“ tangata i runga i te tātahi ! tangata i runga i te tātahi ! ( men on the beach ! men on the beach !. )
“He aha ! Hea ? ( What! where?)
She leaded him to the beach then he finally saw the men. Kortero sprinted as fast as a cheater to try and get one of the men while Hurihia calls the police.

As fast as a person can blink the police were there. Rangi and his friends got arrested for taking too much seafood than they can. He told the police he just wanted some money , the policeman didn’t listen to him.
